2018 Shanghai BMW Exhibition – Golden Land Alliance

bauma CHINA 2018 will be held from November 27 to 30, 2018 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. As the extension of the German construction machinery exhibition in China, bauma CHINA has become a global arena for construction machinery enterprises. It brings together a large number of high-quality companies, showcases tens of thousands of innovative products and technologies, and bears witness to the inheritance and evolution of construction machinery intelligence.
bauma CHINA 2018 has been open for registration for nearly two months. As of now, the number of registered exhibitors has increased by 40% compared with the previous edition, while the applied exhibition area has grown by 116% year on year. Registrations from Chinese exhibitors have increased by 61%, with exhibition area up by 58%; exhibition area applied for by international exhibitors has surged by 158%, highlighting the strong confidence of international companies in the comprehensive recovery of China’s construction machinery industry.
From the registration data, we can see that the overall recovery of China’s construction machinery industry is becoming increasingly evident. Shield tunneling machinery has shown rapid growth; construction machinery—especially excavating machinery—has rebounded strongly; demand for road machinery and aerial work platforms continues to rise; the supporting components industry is gaining momentum; and mining machinery is showing signs of recovery.
After a prolonged five-year downward adjustment, China’s construction machinery industry is now entering a new phase. The core driving forces come from the “market-oriented return of demand and the market-based clearing of excess capacity.” The “four-trillion-yuan” stimulus policy had brought forward and overdrawn the industry’s stable growth trajectory. After market corrections, the Chinese market will still return to its original growth path, maintaining long-term, modest, and stable growth.
In this new phase, China’s construction machinery industry must continuously achieve industrial upgrading through independent innovation. Industrial upgrading will drive optimization of the product structure, significantly increasing the proportion of high value-added products, thereby restoring profitability and adapting to changes in overseas market demand. We believe that 2018 will mark the beginning of another growth cycle for China’s construction machinery industry, and the global spotlight will once again focus on China.
